Cleaning a leather garment is quite
different from a fabric garment.

Conventional dry cleaning is not recommended. With garments made from uniform woven fabrics that are mostly alike, standard dry cleaning methods are acceptable. But, each leather piece is uniquely made and requires its own special solutions and processes depending on its construction, leather type, finish and color.

A crucial part of successful leather cleaning is the removal of oil stains and residues such as those found on collars. Part of the removal process involves the loss of natural oils. These oils must be replaced.

Professional leathercare also includes the careful restoration of color and texture that can be lost as a natural consequence of the cleaning process.
