The letter following was written to Escada and as you'll read, it was highly complimentary of Arrow Fabricare's work and service. Escada kindly forwarded us a copy. The letter follows, but first, here's a little background on Escada. "I am very grateful to Escada because 20 years ago I bought a black and white "zebra" like jacket which was quite expensive. It was quite a stretch for me financially since I had just graduated from business school.

"About a week after I bought it, I was taking the bus to work and sat on a seat that had water on it and the black ran into the white. Naturally, I was devastated. I took the jacket back and told there were no more jackets to replace it, but you offered to clean it. I was extremely skeptical about your ability to clean it properly given the extent of the stain. About two weeks later I received the jacket back from Arrow Fabricare Services in Kansas City. The jacket was perfect and I was thrilled. Since that time I have sent any hard-to-handle problem with my clothing to Arrow and they have never disappointed me (including recently re-weaving 35 cashmere sweaters for me when moths attacked my closet).

"Earlier this summer I was wearing a black and white Escada skirt when I was watering my plants and the skirt got wet and the black ran into the white. I spoke with the store manager on the phone about the situation and she was not particularly helpful. I sent the skirt to Arrow and they spent one month working on it and restored it to its original elegance.

"Good Morning Sir  - There is NO ONE in KC that can get a stain out like you guys can....!  With that being said.....

Question #1 -

Our goofy Labradoodle jumped up and pulled a hamburger bun off the kitchen counter.  Nothing new really other than it was waiting for its' hamburger and had mustard on it.  He then proceeded to drag it onto our off-white wall to wall carpeting.

My husband didn't know that mustard can be tricky and he wiped it off with a clean damp cloth.  (The carpeting has Scotchguard on it but is 10 years old.)  When the stain didn't go away he sprayed carpet cleaner on it and now the stain is even larger.  Is there anything we can still do to get this stain out of our carpeting?  (It is located right in the middle of the room...of course...!) 

Question #2 

It's been a while, but I decided to open my wedding dress to show someone and when I did (It was sealed in a box and the box sealed in plastic.) I found there were stains on it and the condition in general was a great disappointment to me.  (It was cleaned/ sealed in Illinois in 1978.)  This dress is a simple A-line sleeveless dress with an attached lace cape overlay not a large ball gown.  What I would like would be for the stains to be removed if possible and whatever cleaning could be done.  I know you can't tell anything without seeing it but I'm not sure even what to say I want done when I bring it in?  Would this be cleaned like a prom dress for example and could you estimate for me what that might cost? ( I really do not need for it to be sealed, etc.)  Also, is there anything that can be done to freshen the cap/veil?

P.S.: Though we now live some distance from you (Lakes at Oakmont/Platte City, MO.) I still bring my dry cleaning to you.  I was referred to you probably about 8+ years ago (Caryn U.) and the drive to get to you, though long, is MORE than worth the trip.  I'm sure you hear this all the time but I have never said (other than with my repeat business) that YOU are the BEST cleaners I have EVER used bar none....!  (Doubt your delivery driver will ever get this far north but I'll keep hoping...!!!)  I am assuming your Troost location is the only one in this area?"

"Garment Description: Man's leather jacket size Medium I wish to ship to you for cleaning and refurbishing -- similar to what you did for it in 2007. The coat is in the style of a motorcycle jacket; however, it is soft lambskin leather of much lighter weight than a biker's garment. The lining needs to be replaced. Some pocket (liners) have some holes -- possibly repairable with "inserts" rather than replacements. The worst damage is the bottom of the jacket which has an elastic waistband -- the leather is ragged. Once again I say, Yes, I am aware that the repairs will probably cost as much as a new coat, but there ain't no coat like this coat! You folks at Arrow Care revived it once before and I'm hoping for another miracle. :-) "

Thank you for your honesty, courtesy and outstanding, professional service.  I have a cow hide, suede Kooba bag.  Last year a bottle of sun screen opened and soaked through the lining and suede leaving a dark brown stain, six inches in diameter on the outside of my taupe purse.  I attempted to remove the stain with Imperial Dry Cleaner which failed.  One year later, I took my purse to a well known dry cleaner on the Plaza who would not attempt the "oil based" stain.  My mother suggested I take the bag to Arrow Cleaners.  The staff was wonderful and referred me to Brendalee.  Long story short.....Bruce said he'd attempt to remove the stain or dye the purse darker to blend the discoloration.  If they weren't successful, I would only be charged for the chemicals used.  I am amazed to tell you I picked up my bag two weeks later and the stain was 100% gone.  The treatment they used removed all soiling.  I don't know how Arrow Cleaners did it....I would recommend their restoration services to everyone!!!! Recently I bought a magnificent Italian leather jacket.  The first time I wore it it somehow got some kind of oil all over the back from top to bottom.  I was horrified and called Bob and Susie to tell them about it.  They were both so sympathetic and assuring that it could probably be cleaned that I sent it off to Arrow.  It just came back in perfect condition.  This is really amazing since the cleaning process changed the color of the trim and the buttons and you re-dyed the leather trim to perfectly match the jacket color and changed the buttons and sewed them on professionally, just as the designer had.  And, your charges were quite reasonable.
 
Living in New York City you get pretty spoiled with the services that are available but I don't think I could find a leather care service as good as Arrow here or anywhere in the U.S.
 
In an age when "service companies" are offering less and less, true service, your personalized services stand out and stands alone with the very best.
